Most AI consultancies sell strategy and hand off implementation. Most AI vendors sell implementation and hand off strategy. Both leave the customer holding the integration, the change management, and the bill.
We do both, in small teams, on fixed scope. The Dutch SME pilots stay productized so smaller businesses get senior work at a price they can sign off on. The consultancy engagements stay bespoke because that's what the work actually requires.
